Landsort D5 Bronze

Landsort D5 Bronze

Born out of a collaboration with the Swedish Navy, Landsort 459m was introduced as the first Swedish-made diving watch. It is designed to handle extreme conditions and has been tested to withstand the pressure at the deepest point of the Baltic Sea, 459 meters below the surface. It is from the depths of Landsort that the watch takes its name.

The history of Landsort 459m started in 2011. Now, the Landsort series takes another step forward with the release of the Landsort 459m D5 in bronze, making this version part of the permanent collection after the success of the limited bronze model in 2022.

Bronze is not only an eye-catching material but also practical. Known for its durability and resistance to corrosion, it’s often associated with the sea. Over time, it develops a patina, changing its tone to shades of brown, red, and green, giving each watch a distinct and personal character.

The Landsort 459m D5 is full of thoughtful details. The black, sand pattern dial provides an ideal contrast with the hands and indices, both crafted from solid bronze and filled with white Superluminova. This combination ensures visibility, whether in the depths of the Baltic or in fading light. The stainless steel caseback, engraved with a diving helmet, is more than mere decoration; it’s a subtle nod to history, a tribute to the explorers and pioneers who dared to push boundaries, go deeper, and discover what lies beneath the surface. Choosing steel for the caseback instead of bronze prevents discoloration and ensures lasting comfort against the skin, making it a practical feature for everyday wear.

In many ways, the Landsort 459m D5 is a perfect representation of Swedish craftsmanship. It doesn’t shout for attention, it draws you in with its clean design, purposeful details, and the promise of something that will stand the test of time.
